After 12 OCM years of hard work, Shelbourne manager Rob McGlynn is extremely proud to see his charges make the jump into the Top Division. With fomer National Champion Kevin Laursen's podium finish in Grejs Lobet, Shelbourne achieved what they set out to do- which was make it to the Top division and compete against the best teams in the world. When asked how he felt about his sides promotion, McGlynn was in boisterous mood. He was thankful to all members of the team, past and present, the riders and staff, the loyal fans and their National rivals Burren Connemara and Treaty City who he said had helped motivate himself and his riders to always produce their best efforts.
As a celebration for this momentous occasion Rob immediately signed his team up for 1.1 ranked Mullagh- Dublin taking place this coming monday(Day 49, Season 27). "What better way to honour the riders that got us here than to race our 1st race as a Top Division team in front of the Irish supporters who aided our development and progression through the OCM ranks" enthused McGlynn. "We are insanely lucky to have this opportunity to commemerate our promotion on home soil with our fantastic fans and our friends and family. As soon as we jump off the bikes on monday we will be in party mode. We have a great night organised for everyone involved with the team. Its gonna be one hell of a long emotional night.
Rob was under no illusion to the task that still stood before his outfit, having seen their football counterparts relegated from the Premier Division only in November last year after a 2 year spell at the top. " We are totally focused on achieving the results we need in order to stay here with the big boys and that starts in Dublin. I would be absolutely delighted if we got off to a flying start in the Top Division and being in Ireland, we have a great chance. Having the home fans cheering us on will energise us, as will our apres-ras party. We will aim to continue the upward trajectory and are extremely motivated to be competetive at this level."

Good to see your so eager to accept the kudos. What i said is true though. One of my first goals was to be number 1 in Ireland and these teams (along with Guiness, Shredder, Red Band.) pushed me.
Completely messed up my prep for the WC. Should have had my team leader in top form only to mess up with his training. Good race to do though. Hopefully i'll be able to enter next year too.
glad I could help. Was good to see an Irish team in the WC for once
Congrats to a fellow div 1 newbie. Only arrived here 18 days ago.
